Meet the newest member of the team!
Jon Garland is the most recent addition to the rapidly growing team at Caleva, he joins the Operations team as a Production Planner.
Jon is responsible for coordinating the functions within the Operations department, including purchasing, production orders and shipping. He also ensures all products are produced to the correct specification, quality requirements and health & safety standards.
Before joining Caleva, Jon worked for a local food production business, as a Supply Chain Manager which has enabled him to bring a wealth of procurement skills and in-depth knowledge with him. has enabled him to hit the ground running, bringing immediate value to the team.
Appointing Jon was an easy choice for Operations Manager, Justin Smith. It was clear during his interview that Jon’s desire to ensure accuracy of clean data and his proven background of building supplier relationships made him the obvious choice for the role.
In his relatively short time with the company, he has become a highly regarded and key member of the team. Justin says “I am thrilled to have Jon with us as part of the Operations team at Caleva and I look forward to working with him in the future.”
When asked how he is finding Caleva so far Jon says, “It’s a totally different industry than I’m used to but I have really enjoyed the learning curve.” He goes on to add “Every single person is a delight to work with and I am very excited for the future of the business.”
Speaking of when he visited Caleva for his interview, Jon says he was “captivated by the enthusiasm of the team” which contributed to him choosing the role at Caleva.
In his spare time, Jon enjoys fishing and playing golf, or any outdoor activity especially if it includes a cold pint in a beer garden!
