Meet Our New Engineer
Vicky Cuffe joins Caleva in the role of Design Engineer to provide invaluable support in the design and development of our range of processing equipment.
Manufacturing machines from our site in Dorset, UK, innovative design in conjunction with customer experiences and feedback is at the heart of the company and we are pleased to have Vicky with us on our journey.
From Project Engineer to Design Engineer
Vicky started her career as an Apprentice for an electromechanical manufacturing company, working her way up from Junior Engineer to Design Engineer whilst simultaneously completing her Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Following her experience in several different engineering roles, including Project Engineering for an injection moulding company, Vicky applied to Caleva to pursue her passion for Design Engineering.
Vicky’s role involves many different technical aspects including mechanical engineering, software development, CAD design and electronics. Her previous experience designing electromechanical components and working with customers in the highly regulated medical industry has been invaluable to the company and she has already made a great impact in several key projects.
Vicky's Thoughts on Caleva So Far
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Caleva over the past six months. My colleagues have been very welcoming, and I’ve been made to feel part of the team straight away. I am very impressed how skilled and passionate each of my colleagues are in their individual fields.”
Working as a personal trainer at the weekend, whilst also running a successful food blog, Vicky enjoys a varied and busy time both in and outside of work.
“No two days are the same: sometimes I’m out in the workshop running experimental trials and working with the Operations team. Other days, I am at my desk creating and amending technical drawings.”

Her knowledge and keen eye for detail have already made a significant impact and I'm confident that her contributions will continue to play a vital role not only within the Engineering team, but also the company as a whole."
