Terminology:

Spheronisation™*, Pelletisation and Marumerisation all mean the same thing. The manufacture of small round pellets with a limited size spread within a batch. Pellet sizes (sometimes called micropellets or spheroids) can be normally be made within tight size ranges between about 0.5mm and 2.0mm in diameter.

* = Sometimes called: Spheronization or spheroidization.

Trade Marks:
Spheronization™ was a term originally coined by Caleva Process Solutions and used by Caleva as a Registered Trade Mark. It is still used as a trade mark of Caleva Process Solutions and other uses are prohibited.

A 18 cm diameter fan, a heating element, and an adjustable thermostat are mounted in the rear. Cool air is drawn in, heated and then evenly distributed across each tray. This flow of warm air removes the moisture from the pellets.

Horizontal airflow offers even drying without the need for tray rotation. Up to eight trays and different samples can be dried at the same time and removed as required.

The bench-top pellet and extrudate drier is a highly recommended option for all purchases of Extruders or Spheronizers as a very useful and "cost-effective" product drying solution for the laboratory.
