• Large spheronizers from Caleva can be designed for continuous bulk production applications. A combined extruder / spheronizer unit can provide a single or twin drum spheronizing unit that can be programmed to complete automatically the spheronization (pelletization) of a measured product batch.

• Typical batch weight can vary from 5kg to 20kg. Productivity per hour will depend on the required process time which, in turn, will depend on the characteristics of the material and the required quality of the spheroids (pellets) that are produced.
  
  
• For some products process times of less than 30 seconds are used but a more normal time is about 4-7 minutes. In some cases spheronization up to 14 minutes is used.

• Caleva has built pharmaceutical spheronizers (pelletizers) for about 40 years. This experience enables Caleva to design its spheronizers to require minimal maintenance and consumption of renewable parts.
  
  
• Specifications allow the Spheroniser 700 to run continually.  We currently provide service and upgrades (when requested) for production spheronizers that have been in constant use for many years.
