The Caleva "Low-Pressure" Extruder 20

• Caleva Extruder 20, a screen type extruder designed to replicate production extrusion on the laboratory bench top.
• Unique Caleva system of roller extruders designed to impart little work to the product as it is processed reducing problems caused by overheating or drying of the material.
• A simple operating structure and a small footprint to fit easily on the bench top.
• The diameter of spheroids produced is determined by the diameter of the extrudate.
•  Screens with different hole diameters from 0.5mm to 2.5mm can be supplied to complement any development program.
• Minimum issues with scale-up to production
• Scale up to cost effective production equipment
• With reduced height screens and a 10g sample for extrusion up to 7g can be recovered as extrudate.
• Not a production extruder but rates equivalent of up to 20kg per hour can be extruded
• Ideal for pharmaceutical product and formulation development.
