Terminology:

Spheronisation™*, Pelletisation and Marumerisation all mean the same thing. The manufacture of small round pellets with a limited size spread within a batch. Pellet sizes (sometimes called micropellets or spheroids) can be normally be made within tight size ranges between about 0.5mm and 2.0mm in diameter.

* = Sometimes called: Spheronization or spheroidization.

The Caleva Production Gear Extruder 100

A dense extrudate produced without proceess induced product temperature rise at about 100kg/hr.

Designed for production but also suitable for development work.
Larger gear extruders are custom designed according to your specific needs.
Can be incorporated into other equipment as required.
A denser extrudate that that produced by screen or basket extruders but with the advantage of low heat generation.


	Single gear removed to show hole pattern within the gear teeth.

The Gear extruder 100 is recommend where a high quality dense extrudate is required.
Working capacity suitable for the Spheronizer 500 and Spheronizer 700.
Gear sets with different diameter gear holes can be supplied according to customer needs (between 0.8 and 2.0mm).
Modify output by altering the rotational speed of the gears.
